Install OBMX Desktop 0.1.39 or newer on Windows. It detects supported Revit versions and installs the matching Tasks add-in automatically. Manage individual Revit versions later in Desktop Settings → Integrations. If Revit is open, Desktop waits until it closes before changing the add-in.

Revit 2019 through 2027 packages remain available for manual installation on Windows. Install the package matching the Revit year on this computer, and keep OBMX Desktop 0.1.39 or newer open and signed in.
Installed Revit year
One package supports one Revit year. Installing it does not change other Revit installations.

Add an assignee, priority, due date, area, milestone and the remaining task details in the compact Desktop window.
Current-view picture
Review or remove the optional current-view image before creating the task. Capturing it does not change the model view.
Linked Revit elements
Selected elements stay with the task, and Open in Revit returns to matching elements in the same document. Clickable task markers are available in Revit 2022–2027.

Start a new task
Choose New task on the OBMX ribbon, or assign your own Revit keyboard shortcut.

Add the work details
Set the assignee, priority, due date, milestone and other options in the compact Desktop window.

Keep Revit context
Link the selected elements and optionally attach a picture of the current Revit view.

Return to the model
Open a linked task later and use Open in Revit to select its matching elements.
Keep OBMX Desktop 0.1.39 or newer open and signed in to the intended workspace while using the native Tasks panel.
Preview status: the packages are build-verified against their Revit API versions. Loading and interaction inside real Revit installations still require runtime validation. This preview is not Autodesk-certified.
